Yeah Jimmie!

Jimmie Johnson did it again. Winner of the Nextel Cup. Two years in a row.

It could be boredom

I decided to make another stocking. This time using size 10 crochet thread. Just to see what size it would be.

Pretty cute. Not teeny, but small. Once again next to the needle so you can see the size.

Can you tell I'm trying to figure out what to make for Christmas?

Another start...

...and finish. Aha. Didn't think I'd have one of those after a start, huh? Well this would have been finished even sooner had I not been down with the icky.

I just decided I wanted to try this pattern out, to see how long it would take me. But for actual time reference, I should have waited for a not sick day. Oh well, I finished it anyway.

The crochet hook is laying on it so you can tell the size.

And a couple close-ups of the stitches.

Can you believe it's almost that time of year?

Just something to look at

Don't know where this came from, but maybe it will distract you long enough. You know, until I can get a real post done.

Neyland Stadium here I come

This will be about what I'll be seeing Saturday afternoon.

Yep I'm going to the game! Daddy (my father-in-law) got tickets for tomorrow's game. And he's taking me!

Hopefully I'll get some pics to show ya. If not, I'll just tell you about it after.

I'm too excited for words to describe.

GO VOLS!

We'll be in section M. Go here and scroll down to see where in the stadium that is.

Progress and good sports

I have some progress on my Round Ripple. I'm not done yet. It's already outgrown the coffee table. Blame the dull coloring to rainy weather.

And I started a couple more things. Just small projects.

These are hexagon squares. They don't look quite that shape at the moment. I just wanted to see it worked up and used a really smooshy yarn. So they aren't very stiff around the edges. But the colors are pretty. Though in this pic you can't really tell. They are bright though.

And then I started a Vortex 5 dishcloth. I just liked the twists and turns of it all.

And then we come to the Sports section of our blog. Both my teams won big. Tennessee won 59 to 7. The Steelers won 38 to 7. And Jimmie Johnson won. Sportswise, I am a very happy camper.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween

Our kids did. First we had a princess.

Then we had a dead goth/punk cheerleader. (Wasn't supposed to be dead, but she wanted to wear one of the boys' skeleton masks.)

Then we have a winged reaper with no face.
