Hogwarts, forest and missing teeth

I started another project. It's cross-stitch. I found the pattern at The Crochet Shoppe. You can use the patterns for Crochet, cross-stitch, or knitting. So I saw a house shield with banners for Hogwarts, and just had to do it.

Here's my progress so far.



And I also have a bit more progress on the FPS. I am on tier 10.



And then there's this.



She lost her first two teeth. On the same day. And I'm signing her up for Kindergarten tomorrow. Where does the time go?

Hexagons

I've got more done to my hexagon afghan. It's now as long as my couch.

They are fun and easy to do. Now that I know how the pattern really goes.

Deconstruction

I was just sitting there, watching tv. Decided to work on my hexagons, which have been just sitting there, watching the inside of a bag. I start to do number 13, and checked the instructions to make sure I knew where to attach it to the rest. But something didn't look right.



Come to find out, hexagons have 6 sides. Mine had only four. You'd have thought I would have noticed that 12 gons ago. Nope. So I had to frog the last two rows from all of them. And I ended up with this.



Then I made one the right way, just to make sure I could follow the pattern this time.

And then finished the rest of them. This is what they were supposed to look like all along.

Now that I'm back where I started, I can make some real progress.

Happy Birthday Hubby

Today is hubby's b-day. Now I get to tease him for the next 6 months that he's as old as me. He never lets me forget I'm older. Being that it's Daylight Saving Time, he lost one hour today. I told him they thought he was getting old and they took an hour away so he wouldn't be so tired.

The kids made him cards and I made him some more washcloths.

I made Zodiac signs for him and the kids, and then a rose. I'll have pics when Blogger cooperates.

What is this world coming to?

I actually saw one of these on a car tonight.




I couldn't get an actual picture of it on the car, cause I was driving, but you can imagine.
