Another Weasley & a surprise

I made another mini-Weasley and this time, I made a little hanger for it. Just twisted up a pipe cleaner. It looks cute I think.

Swingers and cones

Hehe. I knew you would think that. But hey, that's ok. I probably would have thought that too. lol

Anyway. My FIL is a huge UT Vols fan. The kind of fan who has a whole room of nothing but Vol stuff. And of course it doesn't stop there. It is all over the house too and outside the house. Well as you can guess, some of the outside decorations would eventually get weathered and faded. So he asked me to re-paint a couple of these for him. They are sitting on little swings and they hang outside.

Quite a difference huh? I told you I had been doing other things. They are two sided, so it took twice as long. But I like painting stuff, so I had fun doing it.

And then there are the cones. I got a package in the mail today! She posted that some of her stash needed a good home and I helped Heather de-stash. Man, I didn't realize just how much there were on those cones until I got them here. Thank you so much! I promise to put them to good use. Already thinking of what I can make with them!

That was a post concerning the Mystery Stole Along. I think that was my first KAL. And no, even though I have all the clues, I haven't finished yet. I got sidetracked by the Silk Corset along. Well since I just tagged lots of people not too long ago, and I have seen bunches of people do this already, I think I will just leave it at that.

Onto a little knitting. I told you I would post when I did some more mini stuff. These will be given with the mini-Weasleys at Christmas.



I also took a pic of them beside my CHIBI. Just so you know how little they are.



And I went and got myself into another KAL. I know, how many can one person be in? I don't know, I lost count.



I just couldn't help it. Rogue has turned me into a cable lover and this was calling to me. After I saw the wonderful work Carissa was doing on hers, it made me want to do it too. She has a separate page for her squares. Check out all the other great stuff she does too. She is very talented.

I have been doing other things too, but I gotta leave something for next time.

Honorary Member

I have just been made an Honorary Member of the VLA.

That's right, the Vegetable Liberation Army. You've never heard of this you say? Well, you have been missing out. The lovely LadyLinoleum is the creator of these virtuous vegetables. You can read their Manifesto to see what they are all about. She has other creations as well, all of them worth taking a look at. She is a wonderful artist and shows her work. You can buy her creations if feel the need. She also has trading cards.

Mini on the brain

Well I finished the miniature version of the Harry Potter scarf by making the bookscarf. Now I have finished the miniature version of the Weasley sweater. Named such because Mrs. Weasley hand knitted these sweaters for everyone. Other people have been making these and I just couldn't resist. They are called Mini-Weasleys. Here is my first.

Oh I just had to make Harry's first. But I will be making tons more. This is part of what I will be making for Christmas presents. When I get something else made, I will show you that too. And keeping with the theme, it will be a mini too.

It's my Harry Potter bookscarf! I fininshed it. It is so cute.



Now I can read my books in style. Harry Potter style that is.

Rogue Seahorse

Just a little update on the Rouge. I got the pocket attached.



And my little friend is resting in it. Hubby won me that Seahorse from a crane game 5 or 6 years ago.



And here is a little more side cable.



It's getting there, slowly but surely.

Why my hubby is so wonderful

He called me from work and I said: "Hobby Lobby, 50 % off."

He says: "OK, have fun."

The man is a god! He did a little side work this weekend and is letting me use some of the profits.

So after picking up the kids we went. I found this for them. Three sets of beginners knitting needles, a set of crochet hooks and a knit book. They have been bugging me to get them some needles and to teach them.



Then I found these. The DMC cotton is destined to be a Harry Potter book scarf. And the white powder puff looking stuff is going to be part of Christmas presents. (more on those later) It is Yarn Bee Frosting yarn. I have never had any novelty type yarn and have no idea how to start this skein. Any suggestions?



And then I found a great deal. Without that discount, I would have never gotten it.



And of course for the man himself. I bought him a Porshe.



He deserves no less. But he really deserves the real thing.

Swords and Football

Now that would be an interesting game huh? That would kinda be like adding an Hilander twist to the game. Anyway.

Steelers won! Yes I am from Tennesse but I am a Steelers fan. So even though the Titans were playing them, I was totally for Pittsburgh. If that makes me a traitor, so be it. lol

Well as I have nothing to show you really, I will just throw some entertainment your way. More Rogue progress soon.

Kangaroos, Cables & VOL Football

Now that I have discovered the end of Harry Potter book #6, Rogue has gotten some attention. Here is the kangaroo pocket. It was amazing watching this thing just fall right into place with the sweater. I love knitting, for all these little wonders that take place right before your eyes.



Did I happen to mention I have a crappy camera? There are some colors it hates, but I guess you can see what's going on with it anyway. And here is my very first attempt at doing cables. The instructions in this pattern are awesome. Now I see what all the buzz is with cables. I can't wait to see where each one lands.



At least you can tell what it is. I will have to use a better camera for pics when I finish this thing.

Not only did I have a great day knitting, today was a great day for football. My VOLs won today 17 - 10. Go Vols!



I also have my very first knitting magazine. I got it because of the Annie Modesitt pattern in it. I never knew they could pack so much stuff into one little magazine. I am glad I got it.



And of course we can't forget the munckin who kept saying "Cheese!?" while I was taking the pics. You think she was giving me a hint?
